Hitachi Camcorder
Hitachi Camcorders are advancing in technology rapidly right before our eyes. The Hitachi Camcorder Model DZHS300A is a hybrid camcorder with 8GB of hard drive space. It is compatible with multi-formats such as DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW, and DVD-RAM. It also has the ability to capture photos as well. The dimensions are 12 x 8 x 10 inches and weights under 4 pounds.
This innovative Hitachi Camcorder lets you capture hours upon hours of memories right onto the hard drive without having to worry about changing tapes or discs, as well as running out of space. The great feature that you will absolutely love is that you can transfer the recorded footage directly over to the hard drive within minutes as opposed to transferring over in real time which was how it was always done in the past. There’s a one-touch feature that lets you burn the recorded material right onto the DVD disc for playback on DVD players.
The advantage of Hitachi’s hybrid model is to offer flexibility ideally for people who go on vacations. Sometimes you want to film a lot of footage but do not want to carry around discs or even recording events where you want to make a compilation of clips from. It’s nice to have the hybrid feature but I mainly use the hard disk to record my home footage. When I want to share my copies with others, I just pop in a DVD recordable disk and burn a copy. It’s that easy.
This Hitachi Camcorder has extra sensory protection (ESP) which protects the hard drive in case you happen to drop your camcorder. If you ever did happen to drop your camcorder the sensors on the camera automatically suspends activity on the hard drive and cushions the impact. All you need to know is that your hard drive will not be corrupted because of a couple of drops. You still need to be as careful as possible, but just have the peace of mind that one drop will not make you lose all of your recorded material.
All in all, it is an ideal camcorder for people who are extremely new to digital camcorders. You could take pictures with this camera, but honestly it is not the greatest feature. I would bring a separate camera for taking pictures. First time users will find that it is easy to operate and very convenient to share multiple copies mini DVD. The software that comes along with the unit is also very user friendly and you will be able to do basic editing. Give this camera a try. You will be impressed.
